Conference on the links between contemporary art and the living
The history of art over the last sixty years allows us to trace the development of artists’ sensitivity towards the living world. However, writing this genealogy is a vast undertaking that has yet to be fully embarked on.To help with this, ISELP organizes on 8th and 9th May a conference bringing together around twenty speakers from the fields of art history, anthropology, philosophy and art. They will speak at conferences, round tables and performances, and will deal with the observation of the living for or through art, the conservation of works and beings, collaboration between species, and interactions beyond all categories.

L’histoire de l’art des soixante dernières années permet de retracer le développement de la sensibilité des artistes envers le vivant. L’écriture de cette généalogie représente toutefois un vaste chantier qui doit encore être investi.
Pour y contribuer, l’ISELP organise les 8 et 9 mai un colloque rassemblant une vingtaine d’intervenant·es associé·es à l’histoire de l’art, l’anthropologie, la philosophie ou l’art. Iels prendront la parole dans le contexte de conférences, de tables rondes ou de performances, et traiteront de l’observation du vivant pour ou par l’art, de conservation des œuvres et des êtres, de collaboration entre les espèces, et d’interactions au-delà de toutes catégories.
