Dossier & Production: De Tijd & Gluon

What do you see when you look at the North Sea? One of the most innovative parts of our economy, with solutions to climate, energy and resource problems? A world-leader in maritime research, collaborating with scientists and artists? Probably not. The blue economy is an unknown stronghold in Flanders. Discover all about it in an extensive dossier in “De Tijd” — Belgium’s leading financial times —, with articles, reports and videos. From now on you’ll be looking at the North Sea differently.

In the framework of this dossier GLUON and De Tijd joined forces for a series of interviews with artists and exhibition. We invited artist Robertina Sebjanic for a sailing trip on the North Sea and discovered the noise pollution caused by shipping and fishing activities. We visited the studio of artist Annemarie Maes and talked about the innovative potential of algae.
